WCNDD's community facilities program is funded by a USDA Rural Development Community Facility Technical Assistance and Training Grant. This program allows WCNDD to provide services through loan and grant capability meetings, financing education, environmental grant access, plan application, community engagement, strategic planning and general community facility education. USDA defines essential community facilities as nonprofit health care entities, public facilities, community support services (childcare and senior centers), public safety services, educational services (like libraries), and food pantries. 

 

A goal of the project is to increase regional preparedness and capability for several different funding opportunities, especially the USDA Community Facilities Loan and Grant program.
