This program is near completion and no new applications are being taken at this time.

Folks are reminded that if they have had damage to their homes from the storms during that time period, they may be eligible for some disaster relief assistance from the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund, granted by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. 

The maximum amount of funding per household is $7,500, which is in the form of a grant.  Eligible homeowners must have annual gross incomes no greater than $62,600, no matter what household size.  Items generally covered by disaster relief funds are hot water heaters, furnaces, dry wall repair, septic tanks, and decontamination of wells.  No mobile homes or personal property items are eligible to the program.
